I’m a spiritual heretic, writer, outlier, and nice guy.

I’ve completed a rough draft of a new book called A God Awful God: A Memoir of Fear, Faith, and Learning God Is Love. The tentatively release date is September 2026. Be sure to click the banner and type in your email to receive updates regarding this important work.

For forty years I preached about a God who often seemed angry, distant, and cruel. Now, I’m examine those old beliefs and discovering something radically different; a God of freedom, love, and surprising grace. This space is where I share that journey one story, one paragraph at a time. Join me!
