Weight is my sworn enemy. Every year I make a New Year’s resolution to lose weight. Every time I failed. But I’ve discovered a way to lose weight and want to share it with you.
Maybe you are one of the 2% of people who can lose weight and keep it off. Perhaps you are one of those rare individuals who can go it alone and win the battle. Not me. I need support from others who are struggling just like me. It isn’t that “misery loves company” but it’s that “misery needs support.”

At one point in my life I weighed nearly 300 pounds. I got fighting mad. In my efforts to lose weight the pounds started to give way to victory. I got down to 185 pounds. That’s an amazing accomplishment for a guy who weighed 200 pounds in 7th grade. But gradually some of the weight came back.
What happened? Why did the weight start to return? It’s because I lost sight of The Rule. I owed my success to The Rule. On July 28 I came to my senses and once again embraced The Rule. Since then I’ve lost 30 pounds. In November I started a little 30 Day Eat Less Challenge. A small group embraced The Rule and lost weight. When it comes to weight loss there is no magic bullet. Trust me. If there was a pill I could pop and safely lose the weight I would have found it. Nope. There is only one way to lose weight. Only one way. Here it is: eat less. And if you eat less over a 30 day period you WILL lose weight.
Here’s the beauty of The 30 Day Eat Less Challenge. There is only one Rule. There is one Rule to rule them all. Don’t count calories or points or exchanges. You don’t need an app or good math skills. Here is The Rule: eat only 3 meals a day and nothing else. Period.
