I’m a spiritual heretic, writer, outlier, and nice guy.

I’ve written a rough draft of a new book tentatively called A God Awful God: Excavating the God I Thought I Knew.

For forty years I preached about a God who often seemed angry, distant, and cruel. Now, I’m excavating those old beliefs and discovering something radically different; a God of freedom, love, and surprising grace. This space is where I share that journey, one story and one artifact at a time. Join me!
