Welcome! My goal is to help YOU make life after 55 the best part of the journey as you ReFIRE your life.
By becoming a regular reader of my weekly posts you will:
- Learn how to let go of the past, freeing yourself to embrace the future.
- Embrace aging as a joy and not a curse.
- Find happiness in the moment.
- Explore principles for becoming a fulfilled person.
- Be exposed to life hacks enabling you to grow with each passing year.
Join me in exploring life after 55. This stage in life is the land of opportunity. Others may want to sit around and relive the past. Not me. Let’s move forward. Life after 55 can yield the richest treasures of the journey. (Once in a while I will provide a link for a book or product I have read or used. The link is often an affiliate link; meaning I receive a small percentage of the sale.)
Here’s why I’m doing this:
From an early age I took on the role of helper. Helping others became one of my biggest thrills. this remains true today. I like to help!
But you should know something about me. I don’t have it all together. I am not the possessor of the answer to every question. Like you, I am a traveler along the highway of life. And as I enter into life after 55 it is new territory.
My idea is simple: let’s take this journey together. As you read you might learn something from me. And as you leave comments or send me an email I will learn from you. Let’s travel the road together.
Here’s a little more information about myself:
I am a contributing writer for the Huffington Post, The Good Men Project, and featured contributor on Sixty and Me.
I’ve been happily married for 40 years. We have a son and daughter who are both married. Thanks to their combined family efforts we have six grandchildren.
I invested 30 years of my life serving successfully as a lead pastor in churches located in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
Now I am a writer, speaker, and a professional interim pastor providing assistance to people and churches in transition. In my role of helping churches in transition I’ve served in Oregon, Arizona, and Idaho.
July 2016 my book Tom’s List: 50 Commandments to Transform Your Life became published. It is available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and select bookstores.
